30. december 2004: Everything is OK - Ann and Nut are alive :-) I
have now heard it through Anns sister AND Ann herself - so the news are solid!
The Tsunami took room no.1 and the restaurant, and Ann is getting government
help to rebuild. So Ann assures me, that Luboa Hut will be up and running again.
WE ARE SO GRATEFUL !
The whole thing sets the text on this site in retrospect, and tells us just
how precious life and loved ones are!
Looking for a quiet place, a beach almost to yourself, wonderful food, reasonable prices and loving hosts, Luboa Hut is the place in Thailand for you! Get away from it all - in this place there is no shops, no bars, nothing else than you, the beach, the coconut palms and the sea.
The small 5-bungalow resort is based on the island Koh Pu, approx. 1 hour by boat from Krabi pier. The island has no electricity, no ATM machines, beautiful beaches and nature - and almost no turists!
People who come don't regret - and most want to come back as soon as possible. This place is a pearl. The main reason for this is the two hosts; An & Nut.
An, who owns the resort together with her sister, met Nut in Hadrin (on Koh Pha Ngan island), where they both worked - Nut on his sisters restaurant "B.T. Restaurant", An in a travel agency. They have run the Luboa Hut since 2001, and lives on top of the restaurant. Everybody who comes to Luboa Hut falls in love with the place and the wonderful hosts. An & Nut - we love you!
